1; FALKIRK AND THE KELPIES

A Kelpie is a shape-shifting spirit inhabiting lochs in Scottish folklore. It is usually described as a black horse-like creature, able to adopt human form.
These are two monumental sculptures of these mythical water horses, each nearly 100ft high. Legend has it kelpies had the strength of 10 horses.
These glittering sculptures have been open to the public since spring 2014, alongside a visitor centre where you can get guided Kelpie tours and explore exhibits relating to their history.

2; PERTHSHIRE & DRUMMOND CASTLE GARDENS

Drummond Castle Gardens has to be one of the most stunning gardens. Located near Crieff, in Perthshire, the gardens date back to the 17th century. It attracts many tourists, especially since being used as a location for one of the episodes in ‘Outlander’.
Note: It is only open May to October.

3; STIRLING AND STIRLING CASTLE

Stirling Castle is one of the most historically and architecturally important castles in Scotland. There are lots of events on for families here so be sure to check out the calendar and book your tickets for tours and events.

4; NORTH BERWICK

A gorgeous beach in East Lothian, you can visit the Scottish Seabird Centre and renowned gold courses. With lots to do for the whole family, such as boat trips, playgrounds and quirky cafes, you will fill your day here.

5; GLASGOW

If you love architecture and quirky cities, you will love Glasgow. Visit the University, walk the Glasgow Mural trail and enjoy some food in the west end of Glasgow. You’ll find lots of little cobbled-stone streets with some wonderful restaurants and bars.
