Dunvegan Castle & Gardens: A highland tale

Dunvegan Castle, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking Loch Dunvegan, is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland. For over 800 years, it has been the ancestral home of the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod. The castle's storied walls house treasures like the mystical Fairy Flag, said to bring victory in battle, and the Dunvegan Cup, a ceremonial drinking vessel dating back to the Middle Ages.

Gardens & wildlife

Beyond the castle, the estate boasts formal gardens, including a water garden, a walled garden, and woodland walks. From April to September, visitors can embark on 25-minute boat trips to observe the local seal colonies basking on the loch's rocks.
