Family-friendly walks in Aviemore
Aviemore sits in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and offers plenty of family-friendly walks for all ages. From peaceful lochside trails to magical forest paths, it's the perfect place to get outdoors.
Aviemore is one of my favourite places in Scotland. I’ve been so many times and each visit, I find a different walk to go on, and sometimes I repeat ones that I’ve done before. It’s a place to visit where you simply can’t get bored. There is some truly stunning landscape there, which I find is very distinctive from the rest of Scotland. As well as some great hiking, there are also tons of walks suitable for the whole family. I’ve put together just a few; there are too many to list them all, but I hope you enjoy these.

These special woods are home to the rare capercaillie, and dogs should be kept on a short lead during the very sensitive breeding season between 1 April and 15 August.
