Blackisle Pods and Chalet
Set in peaceful Highland countryside, Blackisle Pods offers a private and comfortable glamping experience with three luxury pods and a spacious chalet.
Each has been thoughtfully designed to help you slow down, recharge, and enjoy the simple pleasures of the outdoors. Whether you're planning a romantic escape, a family break, or a quiet getaway with your dog, every stay includes all the home comforts you need, along with your own private hot tub to relax under the open sky.
The pods are named after ferries that once crossed the nearby Beauly Firth, a nice nod to local heritage before the Kessock Bridge was built. Each pod is fully self-contained with a double bed, sofa bed, ensuite shower room, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a smart TV. They are warm, modern and ideal for cosy nights in, whether you're watching the stars from the hot tub or enjoying a quiet evening with a drink. A shared laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer is also available, perfect for longer stays or more active trips.
The chalet is a great choice for those looking for a bit more space. It includes a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a sofa bed, comfortably sleeping up to five people. It is also pet-friendly, so you don’t need to leave your dog behind. Like the pods, the chalet comes with its own private hot tub and a quiet outdoor seating area, ideal for morning coffees, reading in the afternoon sun or winding down in the evening.
The Black Isle itself is a beautiful peninsula just north of Inverness. Despite the name, it is not an island, but it is surrounded by water on three sides and is known for its gentle hills, rolling farmland, and scenic coastlines. It is a haven for wildlife, with red kites often spotted overhead and roe deer wandering the fields. There are also plenty of woodland trails, quiet beaches and walking routes to explore, many of which are suitable for families and dogs.
Blackisle Pods is also well placed for day trips to Inverness, the Highland capital. Whether you're visiting Inverness Castle, taking a stroll along the River Ness, or heading to Loch Ness in search of the famous monster, there is no shortage of places to discover. For whisky lovers, several distilleries are within easy reach, offering tours and tastings that showcase the region’s rich heritage.
Whether you spend your days exploring or simply relaxing in the hot tub with a view, Blackisle Pods is a place to switch off, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the slower pace of Highland life.
