Off-Grid Forest Cabins near Nethy Bridge
The Lazy Duck offers three unique off-grid and eco-conscious woodland cabins - The Woodman’s Hut, Duck’s Nest and Homestead, set deep within Abernethy Forest in the Cairngorms National Park near Nethy Bridge in the Scottish Highlands. Each cabin sleeps two and is designed for couples seeking quiet, nature and a slower pace of life, with wood-burning stoves, forest views and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. Whether you’re looking for a fully off-grid escape or a gentler introduction to cabin living, these forest stays offer a base for walking, wildlife spotting and switching off completely.
The Lazy Duck promotes wellbeing and relaxation, and having their 'Breathing Space' Cabin enhances this. It's a studio that guests can use for meditation/prayers, birdwatch, and also book a treatment with Anna, who specialises in massages. The cabin is free to use if there is no sign on the door, saying 'In use'.
'Toast' is also a bonus on-site - A hand built 'crofter chic' electric sauna by the burn, with a cold water bucket.
