Nevis Range Mountain Gondola: Soaring above the Highlands
If you want to experience the wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands without hiking for hours, the Nevis Range Mountain Gondola is your ticket to the top—literally. This unique cable car is the only one of its kind in Britain, gliding effortlessly up the flanks of Aonach Mòr, the eighth-highest mountain in the UK.
Originally built to service the Nevis Range ski resort, the gondola now draws visitors all year round, offering jaw-dropping views across Loch Linnhe, the Great Glen, and even the peak of Ben Nevis on a clear day. Whether you're a hillwalker, mountain biker, family on an adventure, or someone who just wants to enjoy a cuppa with a view, this scenic lift gives you the mountain magic without the effort. It’s an unforgettable way to get high above Fort William—without breaking a sweat.
