Craiglea Barn

The Barn at Craiglea is a cozy Highland escape tucked away on a private estate in Caithness. Surrounded by open countryside, it’s a quiet spot for couples, small families or solo travellers who want to slow down and enjoy the space.

The Barn sleeps up to 6 guests. It’s warm, light and homely inside, with everything you need for a relaxing break. The open-plan living space has comfy seating, a dining area and a modern kitchen that’s perfect for lazy breakfasts or cooking a hearty meal after a long walk.

There’s one bathroom with a walk-in shower, plus towels and essentials included. One of the bedrooms also has an en-suite. The windows let in lots of light and give you views over the surrounding hills and open countryside.

Outside, there’s a patio with seating and a BBQ – ideal for summer evenings. You’ll have space, privacy and direct access to trails around the estate. Nature is right on your doorstep here.

Craiglea is an idea base for exploring the north Highlands and falls right on the NC500 route. You’re close to dramatic coastal walks, lochs, waterfalls and hidden gems like Whaligoe Steps. It’s also dog-friendly, so your four-legged friend can join the adventure too.
