Three lodges stand apart from one another on an estate in Kilmichael Glen, above Lochgilphead. Each takes two people, and each has a hot tub and a barbecue hut of its own.
Dogs stay free, in any number, and there is a farm over the fence with sheep, cattle, and two donkeys.

Three lodges, two people in each
Wild Cat, Woodcock, and Pine Marten are let one at a time to two people, and that limit is the point of the place. Nobody is upstairs and nobody shares a wall. The owners put over 100 metres between Woodcock and Wild Cat, each looking down its own part of the glen, and Pine Marten sits apart in woodland with a raised deck over Kilmichael Glen.
Ross and Diana run this as a working estate rather than a holiday park. Sheep and cattle graze the farm just outside, two donkeys called Sam and Rodney live on site, and a private stretch of the River Add carries fishing in season. They keep three dogs of their own, which is some of why dogs are taken seriously.
All three share a hot tub and a private barbecue hut with a grill you can use whatever the weather is doing. Where they part company is the heating and the bathroom, so it is worth choosing rather than taking whichever is free.

Good to know
- Two per lodge is a maximum, not a guide.
- Check out is 10am, though the owners say a later departure can often be arranged.
- Pine Marten has gas central heating, so avoid it if the fire is the reason you are coming.
- The farm sheep and cattle are just outside and the donkeys are on site, so a dog new to livestock wants a lead.
- Pine Marten's dog gate was due in July 2026 and the EV charging point in August 2026, so check both are in.
- A £200 card deposit holds a booking. It is refundable for 24 hours if you contact the owner directly, then not. The balance follows two weeks before arrival.
- Nightly prices are published for Wild Cat only, so ask about the other two.

The estate is at Kilmichael Glassary, and the owners give Lochgilphead as ten minutes away for the supermarkets, the deli, the butcher, and the fish shop. Their own list of towns runs Inveraray at 30 minutes and Oban at 45. Inveraray stands at the head of Loch Fyne, on the road across from Loch Lomond, and they put Glasgow at about two hours by car.
Closer in, the owners name Kilmartin Glen at six miles for its standing stones and Dunadd Fort, the Crinan Canal at four, Knapdale Forest at seven where the beavers were reintroduced, and Tayvallich at eight on Loch Sween. They put the Horseshoe Inn five minutes off.

How far apart are the lodges?
Woodcock and Wild Cat sit over 100 metres apart, each looking down its own part of the glen. Pine Marten is separate again, in woodland.

Yes, and the owners say it is free and reliable enough to stream on or work from.
Can the lodge be set up for a birthday or an anniversary?
Yes. Cakes, flowers, bunting, and flameless candles are arranged with Julia beforehand, and a mobile massage therapist can be booked.
Which lodge works best with a dog?
All three take dogs on the same terms. Pine Marten was due a gate on its deck in July 2026 to make an enclosed space.
