Things to do during your stay

Sleat Peninsula – Approx. 40-50 mins

Sleat presents a greener side to the famous island, it’s known as ‘the garden of Skye’ for good reason, and combines historic attractions with sandy beaches, delightful woodland walks with the most stunning views east to the Scottish mainland and west to the peaks of the Cullins.

Torabhaig Distillery - Approx. 20 mins

Torabhaig Distillery is one of the newest whisky distilleries on the Isle of Skye, but it already feels steeped in Highland character. Sitting on the Sleat Peninsula near Teangue, the distillery opened in 2017 and is only the second licensed single-malt distillery on Skye, almost 190 years after Talisker.

Armadale Castle - Approx 25-30 mins

Armadale Castle is one of the most atmospheric heritage spots on the Isle of Skye, sitting on the Sleat Peninsula with views across the Sound of Sleat. Once the ancestral home of the Macdonalds of Sleat, the castle dates back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries and now stands as a romantic ruin surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodland.

From Armadale, you can get the ferry to Mallaig.

Torrin and Elgol - Approx 20-40 mins

Get a boat trip in the summer seasons to Loch Coruisk and the small isles. A fantastic day out and a chance to see sealife and places only accessible by sea.

Broadford Village – 5 minutes

The local village of Broadford offers cafés, pubs, shops and galleries - an ideal place to relax, resupply or explore Highland hospitality.
