Set between Arisaig and Mallaig on the famously scenic Road to the Isles, Cairn Lodges offers a rare blend of wild Highland beauty and contemporary luxury. Tucked into 15 acres of private hillside, these architecturally designed lodges were created to connect guests with the land, the sea, and the skies of Scotland’s dramatic west coast.

Each lodge has been positioned to maximise privacy and the natural surroundings, with four enjoying elevated views that stretch across the water to the Isles of Eigg and Rum, and as far as the Cuillin Mountains on Skye. Whether you're waking to soft morning light over the islands or watching the sun dip behind the hills with a dram in hand, the views here are never less than spectacular.

Inside, the lodges combine minimalist style with warmth and comfort. Think open-plan living flooded with natural light, top-of-the-range kitchens, modern bathrooms, and a mix of designer and handpicked furnishings. Every lodge features eco-friendly electric heating, alongside a wood-burning stove for those evenings where you just want to tuck in and slow down.

Cairn Lodges caters to couples, families, and small groups, offering two three-bedroom lodges, one two-bedroom lodge and two one-bedroom lodges. All are finished to the same high standard, so no matter the size of your party, you can expect a consistent level of quality and comfort. The layout, décor and attention to detail throughout make these spaces just as suited to romantic escapes as they are to longer Highland adventures.

The location is part of what makes a stay here so special. You’re just a short drive from the white sand beaches of Arisaig, the ferry to Skye in Mallaig, and a front-row seat to one of the most celebrated train journeys in the world — the West Highland Line. It’s a place where you can spot otters on the shoreline, stags on the hills, and still be back in time to cook dinner with the doors open to the sea air.

Stylish, secluded, and deeply connected to its surroundings, Cairn Lodges invites you to experience the Highlands in comfort and calm.
