Two cottages, and the choice between them is simple
The Prestige pair sit on the same estate as the lodge and the Steadings, and they are the two the owners have spent the most on. Both sleep four, both have a wood burning stove, and both look out over ground where the Jacobite story ended up.
Betty's Lookout is 484 square feet with two bedrooms, one king and one with bespoke bunks, which makes it the better of the two for a family. It has a patio with its own hot tub, and the view runs west to the Outer Hebrides.
The Horse Walk is arranged over two floors with two king bedrooms, both en-suite, so it suits two couples rather than a family. The ground floor looks out across the sea. There is no hot tub.
That is the whole decision: bunks and a hot tub, or two en-suite kings and neither.

Location
Where it puts you
The estate sits on the west side of Trotternish, the peninsula that holds most of the landscape people come to Skye for. The Quiraing is fifteen minutes north east, a landslip of pinnacles and hidden terraces that is unlike anywhere else in Britain, and the Old Man of Storr is further down the same ridge towards Portree.
Fairy Glen above Uig is a twenty minute stop on a small scale version of the same geology. Uig itself is the ferry port for the Outer Hebrides, which makes this a sensible last night before a crossing. West across the Minch is Harris, and the sunsets from this side of the peninsula are the reason the rooms on the estate are named for them.
