One site, four ways to stay
Auchrannie is not one building. Two hotels, a row of lodges and a cluster of retreats share a single site off Auchrannie Road, with the restaurants, the pools and the spa in between them. The choice is mostly whether you want a room with breakfast or a kitchen of your own, because the facilities come with all of it either way.
The two hotels sit at opposite ends of that choice. The House Hotel is the traditional side, with Brambles Seafood Grill and Hamiltons Bar downstairs and rooms taking up to two adults. The Spa Resort is the modern building beside Cruize Bar Brasserie and the ASPA, and its bedrooms take three adults, or two adults and three children, which is why families end up there.

Good to know
- Check in is not the same across the resort. Hotel rooms and one bedroom retreats are 2pm and 11am, while lodges, Cedar Cottage and two bedroom retreats are 4pm and 10am.
- Breakfast, lunch and the leisure clubs need no booking. The restaurants and the ASPA do, several days ahead.
- Many of the two bedroom lodges are bungalow style, on one level.
- Dogs only, no other animals. Tell the resort if you have a dog allergy and they will put you somewhere no dog has been.
- Lodges take a 20 per cent non-refundable deposit, with the balance due 28 days before arrival.
- Motorhome guests get hook up, water and showers, but pay extra for the leisure clubs and the spa.

Location
Where it puts you
The ferry is within walking distance, and a free shuttle runs to and from every sailing for anyone who would rather not carry bags, so Arran works without a car from the moment you land. Brodick village and its Co-ops are along the same road.
Arran Heritage Museum is at Rosaburn on the way into the village, and Brodick Castle stands above the bay under Goat Fell. The resort's own leisure clubs take non-residents through a membership scheme.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the House Hotel and the Spa Resort?
The House Hotel is the traditional building, holding Brambles and Hamiltons Bar. The Spa Resort is the modern one, beside Cruize and the ASPA. Each runs five room grades up to a suite.
Are the pools included?
Yes, and neither needs booking. The Spa Resort club has a heated pool, a children's pool, a sauna, a steam room and relaxation beds, with a fitness suite and a games hall alongside. The House Hotel club has a pool with a turbo spa, a children's pool, and a thermal suite.
Is the Playbarn an extra?
No, it is included for resort guests and non-residents are welcome too. Three tiers of indoor soft play, an outdoor adventure area, and The Trough café. It opens 10am to 6pm at weekends, and 10am to noon and 3pm to 6pm on weekdays.
What is the ASPA?
The resort's spa, using ishga products made with Scottish seaweed, for facials, body treatments and beauty services. Day packages are sold as well as overnight ones, booked on 01770 302 234.
Can you eat here without staying?
Yes. Cruize and Brambles both take outside bookings. Food runs from 7.30am to 9.30pm daily and the bars from 11am until late. Dogs are allowed in Brambles and in the designated bar areas.
