A smallholding with a sauna on it
Most pod sites give you the pod. Maycroft gives you the pod and then, up the glen track, a wood fired sauna, cold plunge tubs, an outdoor herbal shower, and a tipi to sit in afterwards. That half runs as a working spa called The Scottish Wild Spa, and it is what separates this from the other hot tub pods in Perthshire.
The pods sit on a smallholding of meadow and running water, glazed across the front so the glen is the wall you look at. Each has decking with a wood fired hot tub, and the two differ enough that the choice matters.

Good to know
- Sauna and cold plunge sessions at the Wild Spa are booked and paid for separately, not in the rate.
- Spa hot tub access comes with the Wild Spa Days and Spa Breaks only, not a standalone sauna session.
- Hot tubs are not suitable for children under five, and guests shower before getting in, with no bath products in the water.
- Two small dogs or one large dog per pod, on leads, using the tethering post, and off beds and sofas.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited in the pods and the hot tubs.
- Every arrival has to be before 7pm all year, and check out is 10am unless a late one is bought.
- The 30 per cent booking deposit is non-refundable, and cancelling inside seven working days gets nothing back.
Where it puts you
Path of Condie is a scatter of houses in a glen on the Ochil edge, with the Waters of May running through it and woodland walks out of the gate. The owners point guests up the glen track to a natural plunge pool and waterfall, past what they call the fairy pools, and the skies here are dark enough that the hot tub deck doubles as a stargazing spot.
Perth is the nearest city, and Perth and Perthshire holds the days out: Kinnoull Hill above the Tay with its folly, the restaurants in town, and the golf and quad biking the owners list for anyone wanting something louder.

Frequently asked questions
Is the sauna included when we book a pod?
No. The Wild Spa sauna and cold plunge are separate bookings, taken online. The hot tub on your own pod decking is included with the pod.
Can we cook outside?
Yes. Heather Pod has a BBQ and a fire pit, White Clover a BBQ cooking station, and a pizza oven can be hired.
What treatments does the spa offer?
Massage and bodywork, restorative facials, holistic energy led treatments, and seasonal rituals, using Gaia natural skincare. There are couples treatments, and the therapists work with guests living with cancer or long term illness.
Can we book the whole place for a group?
Yes. The owners run retreats and gatherings for up to ten guests, with exclusive use of the site, yoga, and sound bath sessions.
What happens if we cancel?
The 30 per cent deposit is non-refundable, and nothing is refunded inside seven working days of arrival. If the dates resell, the owners refund the balance less any rate difference and a £50 administration charge.
